NOTE:

All participants must have a LOW Handicap to participate in weekly events. This shows that you have paid your dues and entered scores on a consistent basis. If you do not enter Association scores, they will be entered for you by the Golf Course Staff.

Individuals playing without a handicap after July 1 will be placed in the “A” Group for scoring purposes.

**The games are liable to change due to the progress and availability of tee boxes during the season.

GAME FORMATS

* BEAT THE PRO - for each $1.00 wagered you will receive $1.00 in shop credit. If you tie the Pro you receive 1.5 times the amount in shop credit. If you beat the Professional you get double the money wagered.

MATCH PLAY

Please Sign up for the Handicap Match Play by May 30.

To be eligible, you must have at least 5 posted scores from the 2008 season. Remember, you may combine two 9 hole scores to post an 18 hole score.

Skins Game

Each skins game will be broken into flights

The number of flights and your position in flights varies from week to week depending onnumber of participants and their handicaps.

Pay $5.00 entry at the desk. If no skins are won, then entry will carry over until next time skins are played. Turn in your scorecard w/first and last name at the desk. All prizes awarded in Pro Shop credit.

RED, WHITE, & WHY DID I BIRDIE?????

Each player begins on the white tees of hole #1. Depending on your gross score, play the proper tees on the next hole:

Bogie or higher - Red Tees

Par - White Tees

Birdie - Blue Tees

RED,WHITE & BLUE INDIVIDUAL

The Player decides which tees to use:

9-Hole Event:

3 REDS

3 WHITES

3 BLUES

18-Hole Event:

6 REDS

6 WHITES

6 BLUES

TOTAL COMBINED SCORE

Combine the gross scores of you and your partner to determine score for the 9 holes. Pro Shop staff will apply handicap for final result.

3-MAN SCRAMBLE

18 Hole Course (9 Hole event)

3-man teams. Pro Shop staff will deduct 90% of 1/2 teams total handicap from final score.

U.S. OPEN PICK-A-PRO

18 Hole Event

Player chooses a PGA pro playing in U.S. Open to be his partner.

Add Pro’s score and player’s net score (score minus hdcp.) for team score.

Any pro may be chosen, but check to be sure he made the cut.

STRING TOURNAMENT

Player receives 6 inches of string per handicap stroke. Use string to gain advantage by moving ball with amounts of string. Cut off amount of string used.

No Alibi Tourney

9 Hole Event

Instead of deducting handicap at the end, players are allowed to replay the number of shots equaling one-quarter of hdcp. during round.

16 Hdcp. = 4 replays.

Alternate Shot

Each player hits their tee shot on hole #1. The players then choose the best drive and alternate shots from that position. The player that makes the putt does not tee off on the next hole, continuing to alternate shots until the round is completed.

NIGHT GOLF

Each player will need at least one glow ball and one glow stick. Both may be purchased in the pro shop

Chicago Point Quota System

18 Hole Course (9 Hole event)

Each player is given a point quota based on his handicap. The object is to be the player with the most points over your quota.

Point Scoring:

Bogey 1

Par 2

Birdie 4

Eagle 8

HCP - QTA:

1-19 11-14 21-9

2-18 12-13 22-8

3-18 13-13 23-8

4-17 14-12 24-7

5-17 15-12 25-7

6-16 16-11 26-6

2 Man Better Ball

18 hole Course (9 hole event)

Take the better ball of 2 for score on each hole. Subtract team handicap from total. To calculate team hdcp. average your two hdcps over 9 holes, use 90% of the result

Example:

Larry = 14 hdcp. Moe = 12 hdcp. Team shoots 36.

Team: 14 + 12 = 26 26 / 4 = 6.5 6.5 x .9 = 5.85

36 gross - 5.85 =30.15 net.
